The Company

tgcBIOMICS GmbH was founded in 1999 by two internationally renowned microbiologists. Equipped with several million € in the first financing round, the focus of the enterprise lies in developing the proprietary technology of targeted genetic conditioning; the use of bacterial gene carriers to transfer nucleic acids.

  • BIOMICS is targeted control of the biological functions (targeted genetic conditioning) of cells, tissues or organs through the transfer of DNA/RNA.
  • targeted genetic conditioning enables immediate use of information from the analysis of genes (genomics) and proteins (proteomics). The genes transferred by the bacteria have an effect either in themselves or via production of coded recombinant proteins.
Bacterial gene carriers allow access to targeted genetic conditioning of cells, tissues or organs. With the development of the platform technology of bacterial gene carriers, tgcBIOMICS possesses excellent access to in vivo production of recombinant proteins that is extremely beneficial for the client. The technology of bacterial gene carriers forms an effective bridge from genomics to the future market of BIOMICS.
